Wear a rubber band around your wrist and snap it against your wrist when you feel the urge to cut. That's what I do. It may help distract you from thinking about it and it stings, so you still get the sense of pain.

**Hurting yourself in even the smallest ways is not okay. You should seek medical treatment.

**I'm not a doctor, I don't recommend this for anyone. But it's better than cutting yourself, in my opinion.
