Heavy metal toxicity, could cause glitter like substance to leach out of the skin. Do you cook with aluminum pans or pressure cooker? This is an educated guess. My daughter and grandchild both have this symptom.
It shouldn't be. It will clog your pores. Plus most eyeshadows have glitter that you don't want on the rest of your face.
