Well, we can't see everything. Matter of fact there's a lot we can't see.We have to use some logic and reasoning to help us out with the things that are invisible to us. Like atoms, we can't see them because they're too small, actually their existence hasn't even been proven since even light can't see it, but we've had to use logic to be able to say that they exist (with a high amount of probability).
