Why was Megan Fox not in Transformers 3?

Megan Fox was fired from the Transformers movie after she publicly compared the director to Hitler. Although Bay was not hurt by the comment Steven Spielberg, who is Jewish, told him to fire her as they already had problems working with her. Fox also insulted the cast and criticized the second movie.

Fox then claimed it was her idea not to return for the third instalment.
