Why didn't Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger hug in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets?

Although the script originally said Hermione should hug both, it was changed to Hermione only hugging Harry because Emma Watson was embarrassed about hugging two boys in front of everybody. Watson also said that she kept letting go of Daniel Radcliffe too quickly when shooting the scene.

Hermione does not love Harry. She loves Ron.
Therefore they didn't kiss because neither of them like each other in that way and never will. The only time they kiss is the riddle versions of them that escape the locker in Deathly Hallows but that is only to make Ron jealous and it is not the real Harry and Hermione.
