I actually don't know if he actually died, but I don't think he did. Sebastian does fake a lot of deaths, but he was stabbed by a Death Scythe, and demons are able to be killed by a Death Scythe in Black Butler. Sebastian's cinematic record finished, but he is still alive in other chapters. Although I mostly watch the anime, I don't think he died in the manga even though a Death Scythe was used to stab him. In the anime though, in Book of Murders, Sebastian fakes his death which is just like in the manga where Sebastian is dead, but the manga and anime are a bit different so I'm not sure if it's the same thing and he is alive, but uh yeah.
