What is a good sentence in The Hunger Games?

Sentences and quotes from The Hunger Games:(Quote) From Peeta to Katniss: "Remember, we're madly in love so it's alright to kiss me anytime you feel like it."(Sentence) I didn't want to lose the boy with the bread. You don't forget the face of the person who was your last hope.

What are the effects of the explosion in the Hunger Games?

In the film, it knocks Katniss back on her feet and makes her lose her hearing temporarily. But in the book, it permanently damages her ear that after the Games ended, the Capital gave her a "prosthetic" ear

What is the capitols role in The Hunger Games?

The Capitol is basically the leader of all of the Districts. The Capitol controls all Districts, and doesn't want to lose their power. that is the reason they created the Hunger Games; to show people that we can take your children and kill them.  The people who live in the Capitol are very well off, while people in every other District are dying of starvation.

Who dies in The Hunger Games?

Do you mean the first book or the whole series? Book One: All of the tributes (including Rue :( ) from all of the districts except for Peeta and Katniss. I was so sad when Rue died, she was my favorite! :.( Book One: Rue, Thresh, Glimmer, Cato, Clover, Foxface, and the rest of the Tributes except for Peeta and Katniss. Katniss and Gale's fathers die. Book Two: Seneca, Cinna, and many tributes besides Johanna, Finnick, Katniss, Peeta, Beetee, and Enobaria. Peeta does die but Finnick brings him back to life. Book Three: MANY people throughout the Districts and Capitol die in a war. Main characters that die are Boggs, Finnick, President Coin, President Snow, Primrose, Madge, Peeta's family, Darius, and the red-headed Avox girl. Millions of people die in this book, but most of them are bystanders.

How are the two books 'The Giver' and 'The Hunger Games' different?

I have read both, and the sequel to the hunger games. They are completely different. The giver is about a society that is basically shut off from the other world (or so i guessed). the hunger games is about a girl that lives in a district ( the world is controlled by one government and everyone lives in a specified district) and takes the place of he brother to compete in survival games. If you win, you become rich and can feed you district and if you lose, well then that means your dead. I will not tell the end to either, as you must read for yourself and I am also on my iPod. So goodluck If you have a teat or something.

Why is Katniss still aware to conceal her emotions in the game?

Katniss still feels that she has to conceal her emotions during the Hunger Games because if she shows that the Katniss-Peeta romance is just acting on her part, district 12 will lose sponsors and if Katniss loses her sponsors, she will likely lose her life as well.

Why does Peeta's father visits Katniss?

Here is a quote from page 37 of The Hunger Games when Katniss is trying to figure out why Peeta's father came to visit her:"[The baker and I] do know each other a bit, and he knows Prim even better. When she sells her goat cheeses at the Hob, she puts two aside for him and he gives her a generous amount of bread in return."I also think that it may be because Peeta's father was in love with Katniss's mother, but she married Katniss's father and the baker was heartbroken. He doesn't want Peeta to lose Katniss just like he lost Katniss's mom.

Why is Katniss Everdeen Important in Hunger Games?

Because shes basically the main character the whole story is all about her. But if your refereeing to the Hunger Games as in the actual games, then its because her little sister Primrose Everdeen was choosen but she didnt want her sister to get killed or lose her(same thing) so she took the chance of taking the chances to die instand of her sister. Also, she is important because she won the Hunger Games too.=D,C&P

How does Katniss win the revolution in The Hunger Games?

Yes, she does. Her & Peeta both win. In the middle of the games, they change the rules saying 2 from the same district can both win and go back. Katniss runs to find Peeta by the lake, he is camoflauged becasue he's about to die. She hides him and helps him to his recovery, while they both fall slowly in love. In the end, they change the rules right when they thought they won, back to only one person. Peeta says Katniss can kill her, but she refuses, to in love to lose him. So, they both sacrifice to die, they love each other so much, and can't live without eachother, they are both about to eat the berries that slowly kill you, when someone inturrupts them and says they both win, becasue President Snow will be very mad if they both die & no one wins the games. In the end, they both go back to district 12, and President Snow plans his revenge. Check Out Catching Fire (the movie) 2013.
