Why did Malfoy Crabbe and Goyle not show up in the trophy room?

They never intended to show up. Malfoy certainly didn't want to duel Harry - he didn't know enough magic - but wanted him in trouble. So he invited him to the duel and then tipped of Argus Filch that someone would be in the Trophy Room meaning Harry would be caught and possibly expelled for being out of bed after hours.
