∙ 14y agoLong Story. But to say it simply, she's said that she has never had a good relationship with her dad Jon Voight, and that it is partially because he cheated on her mother Marcheline. Also, in the early/mid 2000's, he spoke publicly that he thinks Angelina has "serious mental problems" after he wrote her a letter talking about it and she stopped talking to him. Also, he announced that Angie had adopted Maddox when she was trying to keep it private and spend time with the at the time, 7 month old baby.

It apparently is very warm now since Jon Voight spent time with Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their family in Venice in February 2010. Voight also was on the red carpet for the premiere of Angelina Jolie's 2010 action film "Salt."
