In a strange town near the Himalayas, Xavier encounters an alien calling himself Lucifer, the advance scout for an invasion by his race, and foils his plans. In retaliation, Lucifer drops a huge stone block on Xavier, crippling his legs. ∙ 12y agoIn the movies. It was Magneto that blocked a shot from Moira Mctaggart and it went into Charles but in the comics it was an alien named Lucifer that dropped an enormous stone block on him paralyzing him from the waist down.

∙ 12y agoIn X-Men Origins Professor Charles Xavier was most likely not crippled because he had yet had his spine crushed by the Shadow King (Because this is X-Men Origins). By the time he had recruited the X-Men he had already been crippled; in fact it was partially due to that fact taht he was crippled that he put the X-Men together, because in his weakened state he could not defend humanityhe formed a team of mutants to do it in his stead, teaching them how to use their abilities while giving them a safe shelter from the Mutant vs. Humanity war.
