^^ That's not entirely true. Bruce used the new suit for a while because of his heart condition that weakened him. In the first episode, he was heaving some sort of heart attack and threatened an enemy with a gun. After doing this, he swore he would never become Batman again. The opening episode hinted that he had been using the new suit for a while.
