∙ 13y agoActually, Kaname Tousen was nearly killed by Shuuhei Hisagi, but as Hisagi, Komamura, and Kaname were having a heart to heart, Aizen appeared on scene and killed Kaname. Kaname essentially blew up, as evidenced by the massive blood stain in the anime.
We know Aizen killed him because Komamura got really angry at Aizen and was about to go and attack him but then Ichico came through the Garaganta.
