well... squirtle has good def(or that's what i heard) but mudkip get's dual type that makes it immune to electric(sorry if i spelled it wrong).mudkip gets ground moves, squirtle is good for beginners but if you are used to this game. i would use mudkip.
i say so. i always try to get squirtle. he mah boi but water and grass would work well because they have most weaknesses covered.
EX: fighting moltres: have your treeko lay back via TEAM------>TACTICS------>stay put
fighting zapdos: hang back and let treeko do the work! :D
