All the music in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, save for one or two, were written and composed specifically for the movie.
A popular song in the movies is "Yo Ho, Yo Ho (A Pirate Life For Me)" which has been around since 1967 for the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in the Disneyland Resorts.
In the second movie, Mr. Gibbs (Captain Jack Sparrow's First Mate) sings a song called "Dead Man's Chest" which is originally from Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.
