No. The rumor was Mary, Queen of Scots hid a small dog within her execution dress.
Mary I of Scotland (more commonly referred to as Mary, Queen of Scots, 8 December 1542 - 8 February 1587) was accused of being involved in three plots to assassinate Queen Elizabeth I of England, tried for treason and executed.Mary's son, James VI of Scotland, succeeded Elizabeth I in 1603, when he took the English throne as James I, after she died childless.
This was not one of Henry VIII's wives but Mary Queen of Scots. The dog was actually under her skirts.

The terrier that accompanied her to her death was named Geddon. Not sure what the origins of the name are. She had a Skye Terrier who literally was bathed in the blood of the martyred Queen and is believed to have commited canine suicide by refusal to eat. the Sad tale, as if there is not enough tragedy in Mary Stuart"s life, was related in the book Dogs of Destiny which chronicled various dogs famous in their own right(trick dogs such as Rin tin tin and Jester, a show Poodle, and dogs of famous people. it is interesting to note that Dumas, of 3 Musketeers fame, had a half-wild canine bearing the very off name of, and its Welsh, not French, Pritchard!
