Another OpinionMy family grew up with that song. Trust a 'forbear' on this one--the song has lyrics. The refrain includes the line:
The Bear on the Ball, with the parasol, I love him most of all!
The Bear on the Ball was performed by Burl Ives on a Decca 45 rpm in the late 50's. The flip side was "Horace, the Horse". This morning I found a vendor who will reproduce it on CD for about $20, called "the Kiddie Record King". See related link below.
