There are four main forests in The Lord of the Rings. The first is The Old Forest, which borders The Shire and where they encounter Old Man Willow and meet Tom Bombadil. The second is Lothlorien, the forest kingdom of Galadriel and Celeborn, of which Caras Galadhon is the capital. The third one is Fangorn Forest where the two hobbits meet Treebeard. The ent also refers to it as Ambaróna, Tauremornalómë, Tauremorna and Aldalómë. The fourth is Ithilien, shelter to the Rangers of Gondor and also where they have built secret refuges, such as Henneth Anun.
