Joss sticks are a type of incense. They are traditionally burned before an Asian religious image, idol, buddha statue, or shrine. But some joss stick burning rituals (and the prayers that come with it) do not need to be done in front of religious images. They can be burned before anything without limits; like in front of a door, or open window as an offering. In modern days, the burning of joss sticks can be used for any reason, like making the smell of a room better or lighting fireworks up - http://in.kompass.com/a/joss-sticks/4522010/

If it is what I think you mean- these are religious paraphernalia associated with Non-Christian religions- some forms of Buddhism- the answer is no. On the other hand if one was perusing such things as antiques or art objects- as would apply to Buddhist statuary, here would be no spiritual problem . I have seen these things (that you call Joss Sticks) in Chinatown and would not use them, it is a Non-Christian practice- and active one at that.
