I believe he was drinking scotch...
Too much...
I'm sure that some have, but for the most part, alcoholic drinks in a play or movie only LOOK alcoholic.... for example, stage "whiskey" is often simply tea. One of the more famous "drunks" was Dean Martin's stage persona. In actuality, what he was drinking was apple juice with ice cubes in it to make it look like scotch on the rocks. In the movie "The Rat Pack," you get to see what happened when some clueless stagehand actually gave him a real scotch instead. He was a bit peeved.
There is no particular brand I know of that has been documented, but her favourite type of chocolate was Swiss Baking Chocolate, but she would only eat one piece (just one!) whenever she ate it :)

no
Drink Scotch, lots and lots of Scotch.
Scotch is type of whiskey (an alcoholic beverage). The phrase about "a drop of scotch" would be used by someone trying to be cute or coy about their desire to drink some scotch. They are saying (usually insincerely) that they will have a little bit of scotch to drink. It is a convivial phrase for a drink of scotch, usually encountered in an invitation: Will you have a drop of scotch with me? Or it may indicate a small amount added to something: I'll have water with a drop of scotch.
