A John Hewitt drew maps in Cornwall around 1810. I find no trace of a seascape painter. well I can! There was an artist called John Hewitt in Newquay Cornwall in the 1970s. My parents bought a lovely original of a stormy sky over breaking waves, beautiful translucent turquoise as the sun breaks through the Spumante at the top of the waves. We still love Cornwall and have some lovely holidays there. John Hewitts painting captures Cornish seascapes beautifully.

With reference to tejada I can't help, but I do know that a John Hewitt painted seascapes and I personally own two of them. As far as I know he was a cornish artist. I have had my paintings since 1980.
