Harry Potter's "position in quidditch" was the seeker on the Gryffindor team.
I don't think that was ever put into to much detail. All I know is that Cedric was on that team, but he died.
The Hufflepuff team wore black and yellow robes. According to the books, Hufflepuff played in just canary yellow robes but the movie is a bit different.
There are 7 players per team. 3 Chasers, 2 Beaters, 1 Goalkeeper, and 1 Seeker.
Well the word seeker means someone who seeks to find or get something. But if your talking about Harry Potter, heres what a seeker is. In the Harry Potter books by J.K Rowling there is a game called Quidditch. In the game Quidditch there is a position which is called a seeker. The seeker tries to get the little gold ball with wings that is flying around. If the seeker catches the gold ball with wings called the Snitch, then whatever team that seeker is on, the seeker's team wins. Actually, the team doesn't win, but they do gain 150 points, which normally wins the team the game. However, in the Quidditch World Cup, Bulgaria and Ireland played against each other. Bulgaria scored once and caught the Snitch, gaining them a total of 160 points; but Ireland scored 17 times, gaining them 170 points.
Positions In Quidditch: 1 Keeper, which is like a goalie. Defending the goal hoops. 1 Seeker, which is chasing after the snitch, trying not to get hit. 2 Beaters, with a bat each, trying to keep the bludger from hitting their team. 3. Chasers, they are the people that score the goals Balls in Quidditch: The Quaffle, a red-brown ball the size of a soccer ball, when thrown in the hoops scores 10 points for the team who threw the ball. The Bludger, a small iron ball, heavy, the beaters use this to try to hit the opposite team's players off their broomsticks The Golden Snitch, a small round ball, lightweight, about he size of an almond, It is pure gold with a small pattern on it, it has 2 feather-like, silver wings, and it's the seeker's job o catch the snitch as it flies The Uniform for Quidditch: The uniform depends on the houses. Gryffindor wear Scarlett robes, gloves and in winter have goggles as well Slytherin's robes are emerald green (same gloves and goggles) Hufflepuff have yellow robes (gloves and goggles) And Ravenclaw have blue (gloves and goggles)
