Dylan is living on the streets not through any choice of his own, unlike some of the teenagers he meets in the same situation. Hes been cut loose by his unstable mother, and lost most contact with his two younger brothers. He has nothing but his backpack stuffed with a few precious belongings and the homeless kids he meets. At least he has his theories. No one can take those away from him. Like how every fourth person throws him spare change; how no one does anything for anyone without a price; and how he just might be able to find a place in this complicated world.

The summary of "Speaking of Children" by Barbara Holland details parents and their desire to have more then one child. It examines the positive and negative aspects and in result, hints that having one child is the key to happiness and success.
The Revolutionary War was about the Americans wanting their independence from Britain. The war broke out because both held tanaciously to different theories of political ideas. When Great Britain taxed us and we got sick of it. (mainly because the French And Indian war)
That is, basically, the way ALL magnets are created - by moving electric charges. In the case of a permanent magnet, it is mainly the electrons orbiting their atoms that produce this effect. As to the "why", the Special Theory of Relativity provides an answer, but it is fairly complicated. The summary paragraph on Wikipedia (article "Magnetism") says: "As a consequence of Einstein's theory of special relativity, electricity and magnetism are fundamentally interlinked. Both magnetism lacking electricity, and electricity without magnetism, are inconsistent with special relativity, due to such effects as length contraction, time dilation, and the fact that the magnetic force is velocity-dependent. However, when both electricity and magnetism are taken into account, the resulting theory (electromagnetism) is fully consistent with special relativity. ..." The Wikipedia article "Classical electromagnetism and special relativity" provides a more detailed explanation about the relationship between electricity and magnetism, according to the Special Theory of Relativity - but the math is a bit too complicated for my liking.
Einstein's Theory of Relativity can be summarized by two points: 1. the speed of light in empty space is a constant independent of the state of motion of the emitting body and 2. equality of relative motion, thus the Theory of Relativity. The first point should explain why light does not compound like a vector in the M-M experiment. It also defines the fourth dimension as a scalar r=ct and thus Space-time is a quaternion. Einstein did not realize the quaternion nature of Space-time.The relativity example involves electromagnetism; if you move a magnet toward a wire or move the wire toward the magnet, the effect is the same and the effect depends on the relative velocity.

A scientific theory describes how some particular phenomenon happens or works, and a scientific law is a mathematical, or other very concise summary of the consequences of a theory. Laws and theories, in science, do not form a hierarchy of belief (as some uninformed people believe) in which a theory, when sufficiently confirmed, advances to the status of a law. Rather, laws are part of theories.
