Yes it does! There used to be a little show going on near the sword in the stone where Merlin would choose a kid in the audience and the kid would pull it out! Sadly, the show is no longer done and nobody knows how the guy who played Merlin go the stone to pop out. If any cast members out there that knows how it's done please post it here!
No, Excalibur is not in The Lord of the Rings. It is the sword from the Legend of King Arthur. It was given to Arthur by the Lady in the Lake, or was pulled from the stone, depending on which version you are reading/watching.
The Jungle Book
Madam Mim turns into a cat
I'd say pulling the sword out of the stone certainly qualifies.
Squire
Wart
Wart.
The sword's name in Disney's "The Sword in the Stone" is Excalibur. It is the legendary sword stuck in the stone that can only be pulled out by the true king of England.
If you mean boy by King Arthur, his nickname was squire, for being under Sir Kay until retrieving the sword.
The nickname of the boy in "The Sword in the Stone" is Wart. His real name is Arthur, but he is commonly referred to as Wart by his foster family, the castle's residents, and his wizard mentor, Merlin.
In order to protect Arthur, when he was born Merlin took him away to be raised in secret by Sir Ector. Between this and pulling the sword from the stone, I really don't know.
The Sword in the Stone was created in 1938.
The sword in the stone and Excalibur are 2 different things. Merlin put the sword in the stone in the stone( which by pulling it out made Arthur King Arthur), and Excalibur was the sword that came later after the sword in the stone broke. Excalibur came from the Lady in the Lake.
Sword in the Stone - attraction - was created in 1992.
