(Which is just about exactly what it was worth in 1993 when I found one in a 5 pack of Marvel Universe Cards. I've seen auctions for about 100.00 of a never handled, just to put it into hard plastic case, completely MINT condition card sell. Just hold onto it if you have one, hand it down to your kids or grandkids, and maybe one day.....Again...the card will be worth a lot more. Cards and other collectibles just don't have the value they once did. Give it to your Grandkids one day and maybe then it will be worth something serious.)
None of them are particularly valuable. So many people thought they would be collectible that they bought a ton of them, and now, many years later, no one wants to buy them for anything beyond the initial value because there are so many readily available. Many are ASKING for high prices, but not many at all are GETTING those high prices.
I have a fairly large book of 1992 Marvel cards i bought them for about 500$ a few years back. Are they worth more now?
This sealed box is incredibly rare. The most I could find on it were from different years (i.e. 1995). Those were being listed at $300.00 on ebay, with many people watching them. A friend on mine who owns a comic store says they should be worth "hundreds of dollars. It's so rare, you just don't see it. I would buy it just to watch the value climb."
It was worth 17$ in 1995 but in 2010 it was worth $6,000!
