It is impossible to become a wizard, I am sorry to tell you this. But it is true. Nobody could actually become a wizard like Alex Russo because Alex Russo is simply a made up character who happens to be a "wizard" along with her "wizard" family. It is a TV show, but you could probably find her wand on eBay or dress up as her for Halloween. :)

Alex became the Family Wizard because she was in the lead in the Tunnel of Mist but she noticed that Justin got his leg caught in a tree root so she went back to help him out of the tree root. Justin had won the race but he felt guilty because Alex came back to help him out so he allowed her to be claimed as the Family Wizard.
