In the first movie, when the Autobots come down to Earth,they introduce themselves to Sam then Ratchet shoots a healing laser at his neck it just took time to recover that is why it was used in the secend and third movie

Megatron was going to kill Optimus Prime with his fusion cannon but bumblebee jumped in and took the hit instead and the blast hit him where his voice chip was and his voice chip was damaged. All the Autobots thought that bumblebee's voice was permanently damaged but in Transformers 2007 he spoke for a bit. In the 2nd and 3rd movie he couldn't speak because he rushed it too much in the 1st so his voice was damaged permanently.

∙ 12y agoHe cant talk in Transformers 1 because he was damaged in battle against Megatron, and he can't talk in Transformers because he didn't socialize enough. He stayed in Sam's gurage and forgot how to talk
