First you need a Pottermore account. After you reach Chapter 7 of the Philosophers Stone, in Moment 2 there will be a sorting quiz. You first have to have a Pottermore beta account (nobody knows when Pottermore will be open to people who did not get the beta). You then have to get through chapters 1-6 and all of the moments within. When you get to chapter 7 'The Sorting Hat' you take a short quiz and get your result.
It is best to take the test and see what you really would get.
But, you may really really really need to get Slytherin. Maybe family pressure from the Slytherin parents... Maybe you just don't want to be a book hungry Ravenclaw...
It's all good, because even the sorting hat says you can choose. After all, Harry was almost Slytherin, but then chose Gryffindor.
There is no 100% way to get sorted into the house you are shooting towards, but you can push chances in your favor.
When you take the Pottermore test to be sorted into houses, keep in mind the values of the house, as well as clues from the books.
If it asks forest or mountains, remember that Draco was afraid of the forest. Pick the more ambitious of the value type options as well. Be a little proud and smug with your answers. Also, think a little sneaky. Would a Slytherin prefer to operate in light or darkness?
Remember that Slytherins value greatness. They are almost like the high powered business men of the wizarding world, so think along those lines as well. They like the finer things, and they aren't always thoughtful about how they get them.
In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry was sorted into Gryffindor house in chapter seven, "The Sorting Hat".
Slytherin House. Says so in the first book when he's the last one sorted
Cunning is a trait of people sorted into Slytherin - it is not the name of a character.
Hufflepuff, easily, yet I'd probably get sorted into Ravenclaw or Slytherin.... What relevance does this have to anything by the way?
No, you are picked based on your answers. For example: Q. Black or white? White= Gryffindor/Ravenclaw Black= Hufflepuff/ Slytherin
It is unknown which house Aurora Sinistra was sorted into. Since nothing is known about her personality either so it is impossible to guess which house she was sorted into. As for why people list her as Slytherin, it could be that one person decided to list her as Slytherin and others copied or it may simply be that people want to fill up the Slytherin rostra.
He was also afraid he would not be picked at all.Not slytherin.....Not slytherin
In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry was sorted into Gryffindor house in chapter seven, "The Sorting Hat".
The Sorting Hat initially wanted to put Harry in Slytherin; but seeing as Harry already had a bad impression of Slytherin he asked not to be put there, and the Sorting Hat put him in Gryffindor, if Harry hadn't said, "Not Slytherin, not Slytherin" than he most likely would have been in Slytherin. but he was placed in Gryffindor.

The fanfiction you are referring to is likely "Slytherinβs Potter" by Stargon1. In this story, Harry gets sent back in time to the Marauders' era, is sorted into Slytherin, befriends Snape, and eventually disappears after Snape tortures him.
In the Apothecary.
None that we know of. Tom Riddle got sorted into Slytherin despite being half-blood, so the Sorting Hat apparently doesn't take the house's prejudices into account. In short, there could be, but we don't know of any.
