Hogwarts is damaged during the final battle but it is still standing afterwards. The film appears to have done quite a lot of damage to the building and also appears to be on fire.
Movies always exaggerate scenes like this to make it more exciting to watch, we'll have to wait for the movie the be released until we discover what they have done with the scene.
