My uncle- who catered many Hollywood films, commercials and movies in the 90s claimed to have had a conversation with the beastie boys about Adam Sandler. According to my uncle, Sandler once auditioned for a spot in the group's lineup, but they chose not to accept him, for personal reasons. As far as the validity of this occurrence goes, I have no real idea.
