Her age varies from adaptation to adaptation.

For example, in the Disney movie, it is clear that her apparent age ranges from fourteen to seventeen.

In the movie Hook, she appears to be an adult woman.

In the 2004 Universal adaptation, she appears to also be an adult woman.

The only portrayal where she is a teenager happens to be the Disney adaptation of the movie (which is probably the farthest from the novel).

The Disney use of Tinkerbell dates from the 1950's. They sold things with her name on it at Disneyland as early as 1955 and she flew from the castle every night to start the fireworks. I know I was there.
