well Considering that he hasn't appeared since Chronicles, I doubt it.
He's been written out of the anime completely if I reading this right. His last appearance for the fans during the filler arc, after that we never got a reference to his character. So he no longer exists as of now.
Notes: His Pikachu (Sparky) appeared in the flashback in the new episode where Ash's Charizard returned. Maybe he will appear again in a future episode of anime series.
