The UMD drive spins the disc like a regular CD or DVD drive, that's what makes the noise. Some people find it a bit distracting even under normal operation - but if you think yours is unduly loud or erratic, then there might be a fault with the drive.

What does glitches?

It usually means "a mistake in a video game". They're weird stuff you can do in a game. Like say you're playing a video game with lots of walls that you can't go through. A "glitch" for that game would be for you to go through the wall or anything with the wall besides what the game creator intentions werefor you to do.

What are YouTube screamers?

A screamer is a video or game that typically starts with asking you to stare at an image (usually challenging you to find the 'weird' part of the image) or complete a simple task (such as a maze that you complete with your mouse). After 30 seconds to a minute of you focusing on the video or game, a disturbing image will take the place of the video or game and a loud scream or noise will sound from the video or game.
