They still sell PS2 game at places like Amazon. Sony reported only 2.5 million software title sales for the PS2 over the past holiday season the lowest ever. Yet they are even still a couple of new PS2 releases of games with multiple platform versions. The main problem is the PS3, which is way better than a PS2 has been out for a number of years. Most people spending money have the better system so the market is in mostly unsold new games from earlier PS2 releases and the huge number of used games available

the first ps3's played ps2 games but the newer slim ps3's dont allow ps2 games. But Ps3 games do not work on ps2.
Games sell by titles like you purchased them 17 games tells us nothing about whether the are worthless or worth $10 each. There are 1.51 billion games out there for the PS2
Both new and used games sell for a wide variety of prices and most of the older ones are sold for below retail at sites like glyde and amazon.com If you are trying to sell your PS2 games be aware that over 1.51 billion PS2 games have been sold and the games themselves are sometimes less valuable than original packaging and manuals in perfect condition for collectors. Many games sell for less than the shipping charges and individuals sometimes bid more on games at sites like Ebay only so they can save on the combined shipping and handling costs
