Moshlings that are found in your Moshling Garden are attracted by three specific plants. Many times, the plant must also be a specific color. You do not know what color of plant each seed might grow into, so, if the wrong color of plant grows, you have to dig it up and plant another seed. Wait for that seed to grow to find out if it is the correct color to attract the moshling. If not, continue to plant seeds and grow them until you get the correct color to attract the moshling.
