Because unlike many other mmorpgs, it isn't complicated. It doesn't take a abnormally large amount of skill to play it. It certainly helps, but it's not needed. Also, unlike a certain game i know of, it doesn't cost lots of money just to play it.
pepsilover66- I know! When I started playing it, I was bored out of my mined! The graphics suck on it and there's way to much quests stuff. I love World Of War Craft way much better! I played it on a friends computure once and wOw its so much fun, I'm gonna probably buy it soon. I think people like Runescrape because they THINK its easy to talk to people, but its not! You have to go through all this stuff just to wait to talk to other players. I know I didn't really answer your question that well, but I had to say what I said.

Runescape is a game that's there to keep people entertained, there's so much to do on it, if you don't like it there's other games to play, no point wasting time complaining about it.

There is Runescape Classic, and you have the Runescape 2 at it is called now, the one most people play. My answer.... Runescape was first designed in 1997 by Andrew Gower and his brother. This was named 'Devious Mud' but was not open to public. They then created Runescape (now called runescape classic or runescape 1) and due to the popularity of it, they created runescape 2. Everything on runescape classic got xferred to your account in rs2. This is how rares happened. Eg, disks of returning. After the wilderness update, the trade update and the Grand Exchange update, many people wanted to play Rsc again. So they re open it to anyone else that wishes to play every 6 months.

I don't think so, and I don't see the point of having a game like RuneScape in single-player mode. Much of the fun in RuneScape comes from interacting with other players - real people.

hey man, you can not get a stat-changer for runescape, unless you were one of those people who like to cheat,then you can get an auto-bot.which is pretty much illegal/off the rules in runescape,so i would just recomend that you get your level's up the right way/fair way, to avoid being banned.

Some people say Moparscape, but i got 3 viruses from it and it lags really bad and you can't see other people.---I would recommend Frugooscape(Its back!).
