Both Mephiles and Iblis were created in the failed attempt to harness the Flame of Hope's powers in the Solaris Project. Iblis is referred to as the Flames of Disaster and was sealed in Princess Elise after the day a spatial meltdown causes an explosion in Aquatic Base's control room.
