Who are the secret characters in Star Ocean?

In Star Ocean: First Departure (the first Star Ocean game, originally released as Star Ocean: Fantastic Space Odyssey), the "secret" characters are T'Nique Arcana, Erys Jerand, and Welch Vineyard. Erys and Welch are unique to the PSP remake version of the game.

In Star Ocean: Second Evolution (originally released as Star Ocean: The Second Story), the secret characters are Ernest Raviede and Welch Vineyard. Welch is a new character for the PSP remake. You may get different characters depending on which Private Actions you perform and how many party members you have. The rest of the cast includes: Claude C. Kenny, Rena Lanford, Celine Jules, Ashton Anchors, Bowman Jeanne, Precis F. Neumann, Dias Flac (recruitable only in Rena's game), Leon D.S. Gehste (recruitable only in Claude's game), Chisato Madison, Noel Chandler, and Opera Vectra. Opera is only recruitable if you did not recruit Ashton, and Ernest is only recruitable if you did recruit Opera.

In Star Ocean: Till The End of Time, there aren't any secret characters, but you are given the choice of who to recruit from among Nel Zelpher, Albel Nox, Roger S. Huxley, and Peppita Rosetti. In the Director's Cut version (which is the same as the version released in the United States), Adray Lasbard and Mirage Koas become playable characters.

In Star Ocean: The Last Hope (a prequel to all the other games, taking place even before the events of Star Ocean: First Departure), there are also no secret characters, although there are secret endings that can be obtained through a specific series of Private Actions.
