Technologically the PS3 is much better than the PS3 and only that the PS2 is cheaper and has been selling for 6 years longer has kept the total number of units down. The PS2 is not capable of playing the type games the PS3 does has no harddrive or WiFi uses DVD and not Bluray
ps2 is better because it has more games and it's cheaper the Video Games are cheap and when the ps2 was released on 2000 march 4 980,000 units were sold on the same day so almost a million units were sold till 2000 march 5.till 2008 120,000,000 million units were sold.but when ps3 was released in 2006 since then till now only 8 million units were sold
On the older model PS3 with 4 USB ports most games PS2 can be played, but not on PS3 consoles than have only 2 USB ports.
I'm pretty sure, but not positive. You can play PS2 games on only the early PS3 consoles with 4 USB ports.
You can't play a game for a newer console on a console that it wasn't made for. If the PS3 was made before the PS2, then it would work. But then the PS2 would be the PS3 and the PS3 would be the PS2 and then all that would start over again and I'd have to say the same thing OVER and OVER and OVER again...and that wouldn't work, would it?
No the only PS3 consoles that play PS2 games are the early PS3 models with 4 USB ports as can be seen on the related link to the PlayStation Knowledge Center.
no PS3 games will not work on the PS2. Among the many problems PS3 games are on Blue Ray disc and the PS2 uses a DVD driver for the game console
PS2 is cheaper if you money is tight PS3 is better but costs a lot for the console, games, and accessories
You can not play PS3 games on a PS2 console
PS3 and Xbox 360are better but more expensive PS2 is the oldest and cheapest to get
The PS3 controller does not work on the PS2 console
No the PS2 can not read the PS3 Game Discs
No
Are you joking? everything about it is better! NOT The PS2 can only say it is cheaper it losses in everything else that matters. If you can afford to have a PS3 then you will never regret replacing the PS2 with a PS3. If you already have a 1080P Large Screen HDTV you are well past when you should have replaced the PS2
No PS3 games are on Blu-Ray Discs that can't be read by PS2
no
No they would not be able to be read by the PS2 console
No PS3 games were developed with the PS3 system's capabilities considered. PS2 games were not developed for the PS3 and play like on a PS2 because to play the game on a PS3 the console must act like a PS2.
Nope, you can't play a ps3 guitar in a ps2, but if your ps2 guitar gets inserted in the USB port then you can play it on your ps3.
