Yes you can trade leafgreen version Pokemon to another leafgreen version.
You can find Leftovers in Victory Road on Pokemon Platinum. Leftovers can sometimes be held by wild Munchlax which can be found after using Honey on the golden trees you see around Sinnoh.
You have to wake up the Snorlax in front of Diglett's cave and catch him. He is holding leftovers.
Firered and leafgreen both can catch different Pokemon but there pokedex is the same, here is some examples: magmar only in leafgreen not firered, oddish in firered not leafgreen, ekans in firered not leafgreen, bellsprout in leafgreen not firered, pinsir in leafgreen not firered.

The itemfinder only works when there is a secret item around the surrounding area try using it where snorlax used to be after you woke it up and caught it/defeated it you will find an item called leftovers.
it means your leftovers
A Snorlax will only be holding Leftovers if you migrate it if you had it held Leftovers before migrating it.
they ate leftovers from the city. They were fat. Amen
Leftovers should be kept for no more than 3-4 days according to the "how long to keep leftovers chart."
That depends on who you believe is the ultimate provider of them, and if you are thankful that you have the leftovers to eat!
