In the base game you would go to either build or buy mode and lay out all of your collected minerals and demolish them. Or you could directly just in your Sims inventory click and drag to the "sell item slot" and get the exact amount of cash for the mineral or gem. Different story on the Expansion, "Sims 3 World Adventures" You can still use the methods above, but new additions have been made. In a travel location go to the relic store and sell the gems, minerals, and artifacts you find for 5% to 15% more cash then the base game's methods.
- IMPORTANT it is recommended that you first cut or smelt then sell prices may look unattractive for different cuts and smelts, but it nearly doubles the value of minerals and varies from nothing to as much as twenty times the original amount
