It's a game.In America (United States) it's called Monster Hunter Freedom. There are 3 games available for the PSP, Monster Hunter Freedom, Monster Hunter Freedom 2, and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Its easy when you start the game there should be a screen that says "Do you want to import saved data from monster hunter freedom 2?" then press yes. If you have a Japanese Monster hunter freedom 2 and an English unite you won't be able to transfer data, vice-versa if you have a Japanese Unite and an English Freedom

You can only take one felyne comrade with you on Monster Hunter Freedom unite. Monster Hunter Freedom and Freedom 2 do not have felyne comrades. The only Monster Hunter game that lets you take two comrades with you on a quest is Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (Japan only for right now)
Yes you can move data from monster hunter freedom 2 to freedom unite. Every item, equipment and quest is transferred over. (not sure of event quests though) Yes completed quests also transfer over.
