yes there are, when you go to the pokeathlon there is a shop in the field outside the pokeathlon dome or it will be inside the pokeathlon dome and the rare candies

are 2000 or 3000 pokeathlon points.

Many are hidden throughout the regions. Use the dowsing machine and you may find some. Some are items to be found in caves. There isn't just one. Check bulbapedia for more info.
