sorry, you cant. you can only use the move tutor on island 2 for YOUR starter in FIRERED. even if you trade in another Kanto starter, like venusaur, it still wont work. u can only use it on 3rd stage evos (venusaur, blastoise, charizard) that u started out withtwo things.1. fire red is johto not kanto. kanto is Pokemon crystal,gold,silver2. u cant trade 3rd generation Pokemon(ruby,sapphire,emerald) on to first generation games!first of all this guy who answered this is an idiot fire red is kanto 2 reasons1. when u give celio the ruby and sappire when u click on the machine it says linked up with kanto and hohen reigons2. if fire red is johto then where is goldenrod city and all the other towns in johto plus why can't u get the GS ball and capure celebiI agree with ^. the second guy's an idiot.
