You push the whammy bar up and down very quickly.

well it depends on how u broke it
It will be out of tune for one or two songs, then go back to normal. It is weird, I know.
You press the keys it tells you to and strum on the notes when the note reaches the bottom of the screen. You can use the whammy bar on sustained notes (hold the button and don't hold the strum bar, just press it) for extra points. Lift the neck to activate star power (wii)
Either get your whammy fixed somehow, or you're screwed. Sorry.
The Guitar Hero guitar as a whammy bar. When you are holding long notes during a song, you can move the whammy bar up and down to "whammy."
If you're talking about whammy in battle mode, just whammy as fast as you can until it goes away. NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooob Some guitars seem to have a problem that the whammy bar won't sense when it is totally pressed down. If that happens you won't be able to stop a whammy attack.
No
they both have a whammy bar, the newer ones just don't come with the whammy on the guitar(for some odd reason.)

If you have just bought a guitar, the whammy bar will tend to not work off and on. If it is broken because of neglect or overuse, than yeah. Two possible reasons: First, if the whammy bar is pushed forward when the controller is turned on (possible because the guitar is laying on its face), the whammy bar will not work. There is a screen where you can calibrate the whammy and it will fix the problem. Or simply start over and turn on the controller again and be careful with the whammy. Second, I have seen a case where a small piece of plastic broke off the top of the whammy bar mechanism inside the guitar. If this is the case, you are pretty much out of luck unless you can locate an old wii guitar that can be used for parts.
same place any other guitar, used ones can be cheaper.. but craigslist or kijiji you can get one cheaper. Be sure to have someone who knows guitar and whammy bars or you will hate it. my advice stick to fender ones, the ones like Dimebag and Sinister gates are a lot harder to set up to different tunings and so on.
Only some electric guitars can have a whammy bar attached. On the side of the bridge (the bridge is the part that has the strings attached to it on the bottom half of the guitar) locate a small hole. Put the part of the bar with the twist on/off bit in the hole and tighten it. Don't push down too hard on the bar, as it may damage the bridge/body of the guitar. When putting the guitar in a bag or case, remove the whammy bar.
Whammy bar/tremelo arm.
