It won't evolve at any specific level, but if you trade it while it's holding a Metal Coat, it will go through what's called a 'trade evolution' and become a Steel-and-Ground-type Steelix, which has great Attack stats. It can also learn a level-up move (Crunch) that Onix wouldn't be able to. Hope it helped!!
