I've heard some people say that they cant get any power cells in mechquest at all. First, head east from where you log in. Take the ship to the moon for a thousand cash. Alternatively, if your a star captain do missions for warlic the head of GEARS. Eventually you will have to search for parts of the space ship docked east of where you log in. Before you can take off as a star captain, King Trinadent will request to see you. Head far east from where you log in, pass pontimech(probably like Pontiac the car brand), and you will see a traffic jam . You now need a car, Head back to pontimech on the previous screen. A car cost 10 or 12 k. Sucks right? Get some money, buy a car, head east again and ride in the traffic jam. A forty second mini game will ensue pass this and head into the castle. The king will give you the ok to fly, and tell you their are rebels on the moon that are probably working with the shadowscythe. Go to the ship fly to the moon and keep fighting rebel deltas and troopers. From what I can tell none in particular drop the power cell more often.
