Press just the S and then the P. The puzzle changes the color of the letter that you press and of the letters adjacent to it. (on to off or off to on). The goal is to turn all the letters on, so with six letters in "escape" you only need to press the middle letter in the first set of three (the S) and the middle letter in the second set of three (the P).
When both players pass their turn three times in a row, the game ends and the player with the most points is declaired the winner. In reality, this only can happen after all the letters have been drawn, because you always can skip your turn to swap letters. Of course, if both players swap the same letters, there is no point at continuing the game.
You can use your turn to make a word, pass, or exchange letters. If you put back any of your letters and draw new ones, you need to wait for your next turn to make a word.
