Well, as always, you can catch more pokemon or level up your pokemon further. The latter suggestion is wise, since after you beat the Eterna City gym, you are to once again face Team Galactic. Have one of your pokemon learn Cut after you beat the gym leader (you con obtain this HM if you head north toward the large building in Eterna City. You will then see Cynthia and you will obtain the HM Cut, I believe). Then you can cut through the trees in front of the building at the northernmost part of Eterna City. If you go around the building, theree will be more trees, and if you cut through those and follow the path, you will find an item which might htelp you against Team Galactic. Then you enter the building and defeat Team Galactic. The man who was being held hostage is the bicycle man, and if you stop by his shop in the middle of town, you get a bike. Then go down bicycle road and keep following the path until you arrive at the next city and the story continues.
