Why do some Pikachu cards say Pikachu is a basic Pokemon but he is not so why do they say it?
Because some of the Pokemon cards/ Pikachu cards won't put that Pichu is the evolved form of Pikachu. The Pokemon cards that have Pikachu on them are mostly old and Pichu wasn't made back in the Kanto or Johto Region. If you have a Raichu card look at the card and you'll see a picture of Pikachu then you'll know what I mean.

No its defence is low but its evolution raichu is pretty good to evolve your pikachu just use a thuderstone on it anyway don't let me get started on pikachu pre evolution pichu that Pokemon cant use an electric offensive attack that Pokemon sucks in every way possible but its not as bad as happiny pikachu's defense is not only low but the attack sucks pichu's attack is even weaker but to me i don't think pikachu is the best electric type Pokemon i think ampharos is a good Pokemon too(happiny sucks)

The female Parent is the one that is responsible for the offspring so say you placed a female Pikachu and a male Delibird into the Daycare together then the offspring would result into a Pichu because Pichu is the pre-evolved form of Pikachu however if you went with using a male Pikachu and a Ditto then you will still receive a Pichu because Ditto would assume the role of the missing gender.

It depends on the Pokemon. Most evolutionary forms will learn the same moves as their pre-evolutions, only at later levels, but some pre-evolutionary forms learn moves that their evolutions don't.
