What is the point of the Maid Challenge in Pokemon Platinum?

The Maid's Challenge is located in the Pokemon Mansion, on the west side. A maid gives you a target number to defeat the maids. If you be the maids with that number of rounds, you receive a special gift. There are 5 maids, each with a Clefairy 2 levels higher than the maid before her. The first maid has a lv. 25. They can be tricky Clefairys because they know moves like Sing, Endure, Encore and Bounce. If you beat all 5 maids on the target number, you get to battle either Lady Caleste or Master Liam. They both have a Blissey lv. 35. Lady's Blissey knowa Psychic, Fling, Egg Bomb and Softboiled. Same with the man, but the man has Defense Curl instead of Psychic. The reason to take this challenge is that both Blisseys are holding a Rare Candy. Use a Pokemon that knows TM Thief (found in Eterna) or Trick (Move Tutor in the rainy marsh west of Pastoria). Activate this move before the Blissey uses Fling and you can get a Rare Candy each day!
